How silently, how silently
The wondrous gift is given!
So God imparts to human hearts
The blessings of his heaven.

But in this world of sin,
Where meek souls will receive him. still
The dear Christ enters in.

So many of our Christmas Carols have wonderful verses that hardly ever get sung...here is one of my favorites.

I agree--I have some old OLD hymn books I love to peruse--there are words no one hears anymore.
